Support for Businesses

COVID-19 has dramatically affected the way we do business in 2020 and many SMEs are finding themselves in a situation they have never faced before.

The New Zealand Government have developed multiple initiatives to support SMEs during this period from funding support through to legislation changes.

If you would like one of our Business Advisers help you access these funds please feel free to get in touch.

Support for Employees

Over the past two months, countless Kiwi’s have had their income significantly affected (either through reduced salary, hours, or even unemployment). Whilst much of this is essential for businesses to survive COVID-19, no business owner is taking glee in impacting the livelihood of their staff.

That’s where we come in – This package focuses on all aspects of financial well-being and resilience – allowing business owners to give their employees control of their finances as we go through a period of great uncertainty.

How is this service paid for?

The Government has allocated an additional $25 million to support businesses through COVID-19. The Regional Business Partner Network is making this funding available for eligible businesses to receive expert help and advice in the areas of Financial Planning, Marketing & Crisis Planning

Marketing

Whether it's generating more leads, or selling more to your existing customers, we want to help you achieve marketing success. We'll work with you to set your marketing goals and determine the actions required to achieve them.

It's essential for business owners to understand their marketing KPIs and measure the effectiveness of their various marketing strategies. Our goal is to ensure you are spending your marketing budget on the activities that will give you the highest return.

Business Planning

Success is about planning; we want to help you achieve success.

A Business Planning session will require you to take time out from day to day activities in the business to focus on the business. Together we will review your past performance and clarify future direction. You will set solid and realistic business goals and define strategies for achievement. At the end of the session, you will have a one page Business Plan which will act as a guide map to ensure you are on course for success.

Cashflow Forecasting

Cashflow planning is best practice in any business and critical to survival and growth. Setting cashflow targets and regularly monitoring your actual cashflow against your forecast will enable you to predict large cash outflows and respond to changes in your business.

Inadequate cashflow is a symptom of management problems in a business, NOT the cause. Helping our clients look ahead with confidence and putting in place basic cashflow maximisation strategies is core to our purpose as your Accountants.

What’s the cost of the program?

The service will cost roughly $5,000 excl. GST and can almost exclusively be funded via the Regional Business Partner Network’s grants mentioned above.

Support for Employees

The benefit of our program for employees is clear, however the benefit to your business is just as significant. As we slowly move towards ‘a new normal’, how businesses respond now will dictate how their employees perform in six months’ time. Decreased productivity/efficiency is a common symptom of financial stress – this will be especially prevalent during times like these. Providing programs such as this will also have a noticeable impact on employee retention as well as make your company more appealing to those looking for a job – “how did your company take care of its employees during the pandemic” will become a key question in all job interviews as we move forward.
